Gonzaga Bulldogs fans are about to be inundated with college football and NFL broadcasts, highlights, takes, tweets, etc. for the next two months before the college basketball season gets underway.
With the NBA still six weeks from tipping off, basically all non-Courtney Vandersloot Gonzaga-related highlights will come from FIBA qualifying contests, with Zags participating for Team USA, Canada, Lithuania, and the Dominican Republic at this point.
A few international leagues have begun playing, however, and the latest update comes from former Gonzaga forward Jeremy Jones, who hit a Jalen Suggs-esque game-winner for the Toyotsu Fighting Eagles in a preseason game over the weekend:
Jones played for the Fighting Eagles last season, averaging 12.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on a team that went 42-8 while he was on the court.
The team added another Gonzaga big to the roster this season, inking former Lakers and Wizards forward Johnathan Williams to a deal earlier this summer.
Toyotsu’s regular season is slated to begin on October 1.
