The 2022-2023 school year is nearly upon us, and while we are still a few months away from the start of the college basketball season, Gonzaga University Athletics are set to begin shortly.
Season tickets, as well as single game tickets, have officially gone on sale for Gonzaga’s three fall spectator sports: men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.
The women’s soccer team was picked fourth in the WCC preseason poll, behind nationally ranked BYU (3) Santa Clara (5) and Pepperdine (17). Senior midfielder Erin Healy was named to the All-WCC preseason team as well.
Things aren’t as promising on the men’s side, where the team was picked last in the WCC standings out of eight teams. Portland and Santa Clara each received three first place votes, while Pacific and LMU took home a first place vote each. Senior forward Demetrius Kigeya was Gonzaga’s lone representative on the All-WCC preseason roster.
The 2022 preseason picks for volleyball have not been released yet, but Gonzaga finished eight in the conference last year with a 5-13 record in conference play, and a 9-20 overall record.
