Former Zags Steven Gray and Micah Downs participating in The CrawsOver Pro-Am in Seattle

The CrawsOver Pro-Am, a summer basketball tournament in Seattle sponsored by longtime NBA great Jamal Crawford, released the official rosters for the event on Sunday and a pair of former Gonzaga Bulldogs – Steven Gray and Micah Downs – are each listed as part of the Worldwide SM squad.

The CrawsOver pro-am is littered with NBA talent across the eight rosters, with current and former NBA stars including Kevin Porter Jr., Jaylen Nowell, Isaiah Thomas, Malachi Flynn, Marjon Beauchamp, Nate Robinson, Tari Eason, Paolo Banchero, DeJounte Murray, and of course Crawford himself.

Many current college stars are participating as well, including San Francisco’s Khalil Shabazz, SeattleU’s Cam Tyson, and Washington’s Franck Kepnang and Noah Williams.

The games take place at Seattle Pacific University and are free to the public to enter.

Gray is from Bainbridge Island, WA and played at Gonzaga from 2007-2011. He’s had a lucrative overseas career, playing in places like Greece, France, Bosnia, and Israel for the past decade or so.

Downs is from Kirkland, WA, and has had a similar path to Gray. He began his collegiate career at Kansas before transferring to Gonzaga. Since his playing days finished up in Spokane he has played all over the globe, with stops in Belgium, Spain, Italy, France, and Portugal for the last two seasons.

With NBA summer league wrapping up, pro-ams and TBT are the best way for fans to watch former Gonzaga basketball players in action while we wait the start of the 22-23 season.
